QUARANTINE COOKBOOK: THE BEST TUNA MELT

The Best Tuna Melt

Ingredients:

2 Slices Brioche Bread

2 Cans Tuna Fish

4 Tbsp Diced Carrots

4 Tbsp Diced Celery

4 Tbsp Diced Banana Peppers

3 Tbsp Mayonnaise

4 Tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish

4 Slices Meunster Cheese

2 Tbsp Butter

6-9 Slices Sweet Pickles

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Recipe:

-Dice all of the vegetables.

-Heat frying pan on medium-low.

-In a medium size bowl combine tuna fish, carrots, celery, banana peppers, relish, mayo, salt and pepper.

-Butter one side of bread.

-Lay one slice of bread, buttered side down, in preheated pan.

-Place 4 slices of cheese on top of bread and cover with second slice of bread (buttered side up).

-Flip when golden brown, and remove when both sides are cooked.

-Split apart slices of bread (be careful— cheese will be melted)

-Place tuna salad mixture on one side of the bread.

-Add sliced pickles to the opposite slice of bread.

-Close the sandwich, cut in half, serve immediately.
