Still Bad Blood Between Manny Machado and The Red Sox?

Hell hath no fury like a baseball player that was almost hit in the head.

Boston Red Sox fans have likely not forgiven Manny Machado for a controversial slide that took out their beloved Dustin Pedroia in April of 2017.

Days later, Red Sox pitchers Eduardo Rodriguez and Matt Barnes retaliated, with Rodriguez throwing inside on Machado multiple times and Barnes throwing at his head. A month later, starter Chris Sale threw behind Machado in the first inning, which led to a spectacular post-game, expletive-laden rant by Machado.

As fate would have it, the Orioles traded Machado to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018 where they advanced to play the Boston Red Sox.

Baseball players never forget and the World Series is the worst time to think of retaliation. However, the Red Sox (sans Chris Sale who is on IL) roll into Petco Park 16 games back in the American League East and seven games out in the wild card.

Does Machado still think the Red Sox are a coward organization? We shall see.
