Red Sox Accused of Cheating In Game 2 On Social Media

Video shows Red Sox pitcher Matt Barnes touching his forearm where there appears to be a shiny substance that some are claiming is pine tar. The video is circulating like wildfire and the speculation is starting to mount.  Watch the video below and tell us what you think.


The Red Sox beat the Astros in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Monday which makes the accusation even more controversial.  The Red Sox played multiple pitchers during the game, including Matt Barnes, Ryan Braiser, Rick Porcello, and Craig Kimbrel and the guys were praised by manager Alex Cora who said "They did an outstanding job. They’ve done it throughout the postseason. We trust those guys. There are certain matchups we like with them. We’re going to try to go to those matchups.”
