SDSU's non-conference basketball schedule is coming into focus

Colorado State v San Diego State

The Aztecs 2020-21 non-conference schedule is coming into focus and will feature the renewal of a longtime rivalry against BYU. Overall, the Cougars lead the all-time series 48-25 but SDSU won last year at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah, 76-71.

SDSU is also slated to appear in the Diamondhead Classic over Christmas Week in Honolulu.

Below is a list of non-conference games that have been announced for next season, with more still to come:

  • TBA at Grand Canyon
  • 12/1 vs. BYU (Viejas Arena)
  • 12/5 at St. Louis (Moutain West/A-10 Challenge)
  • 12/22-25 in the Diamond Head Classic. Possible opponents: Arizona St., Oklahoma, Hawaii, St. Mary's, Temple, Western Michigan, Seattle

San Diego State finished last season's shortened campaign with a 30-2 record and ranked No. 6 in the nation. The Aztecs were the only team in the nation to finish the regular season with just one loss and was one of three teams with two losses when the season was stopped.
