QUARANTINE COOKBOOK: CHICKEN CHEESESTEAK SANDWICH

Chicken Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients

-1 Chicken Breast sliced in half long ways

-2 pieces of toast

-1/2 of an Onion (thinly sliced)

-1 cup sliced mushrooms

-1/2 stick Butter

-1/4 cup Flour

-1 tsp Garlic Powder

-1 tsp Onion Powder

-1/2 can of Lager Beer

-1 cup Milk

-1 8oz bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

-Salt & Pepper to taste

-Olive Oil (to grease the pans)

Recipe

Part 1: The Chicken

-Pound the chicken breast extremely thin.

-Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a pan on high heat, add chicken breast.

-Liberally add salt & pepper both sides of chicken and remove from heat once both sides are golden brown.

-Chop chicken and set aside.

Part 2: The Toppins’

-Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a frying pan, medium high heat, add onions, mushrooms, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until onions have softened.

-Remove from heat and set aside

Part 3: The Cheez-Sauze

-Add butter and flour to a small pot on medium high heat, and stir.

-As you stir, add garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt & pepper.

-KEEP STIRRING, and slowly pour lager into mixture.

-CONTINUE STIRRING, and slowly pour milk into mixture.

-NEVER STOP STIRRING, add the cheddar cheese and mix until cheese sauce reaches a smooth and thick consistency.

Part 4: Sandwich Assembly

-Lay down the toast.

-Add chicken.

-Add onion/mushrooms.

-Pour on the CHEEZ-SAUZE.
