Kareem Hunt Cut By The Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have cut running back Kareem Hunt after hotel surveillance video was released which showed him brutally attacking a 19-year-old woman. TMZ Sports has obtained the shocking video from a February incident in which Hunt assaulted a woman in the hallway outside of his hotel room in Cleveland.

"Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt," the Chiefs said in the statement. "At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately."

In the video, Hunt can be seen arguing with the woman when one of his friends comes outside and tries to get in between them. Hunt appears to shove the woman away and she slaps him in the face.

The woman then walks out of the frame and Hunt is held back by his friends as he tries to go after her. The woman then comes back in front of the camera and starts arguing with another one of Hunt's friends.

Hunt then comes out of the room and kicks both of them, sending them flying across the hallway and into the wall. He fights off his friends and kicks the woman again while she is on the ground.

Police were called to the hotel but declined to press charges against Hunt. One of his friends told officers that the woman went crazy and called Hunt the n-word after she was kicked out of his room. He also said that the woman struck one of their female friends when the incident turned physical.

Hunt did not face discipline from the NFL following the incident, but he was placed on the commissioner's exempt list after the video was made public. Even if he is signed by another team he will be unable to play until the league's investigation is complete.
