ESPN is reporting that "Sources" have confirmed the San Diego Chargers' intent to make the move to Los Angeles. These sources have indicated that team has already notified NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and other league owners, of their intent to move to Los Angeles for the 2017 season.
League sources cautioned that a formal relocation letter has not been submitted to the NFL, so the move is not final. However, the move is expected and has certainly been a strong possibility given the Chargers stalemate with San Diego over the approval of a new stadium. Securing a new stadium in San Diego has been a priority for the Chargers for the past 16 years.
